Joanna is a highly experienced and qualified clinician in the field of psychotherapy. She has over 20 years of clinical experience and specialises in trauma recovery therapy and repair of ruptured attachment therapy.
An experienced and in-demand trainer in her field, Joanna delivers a series of one day training seminars that cover a broad range of topics including Trauma, Attachment, Therapeutic Play Techniques, Caring for the carer (Managing compassion fatigue and vicarious trauma in caring professionals), Teens Mental health and social media, Therapeutic parenting and Developmental Play.
Theraply Training
Joanna is the only certified Theraplay Trainer in Ireland. She delivers Theraplay Level 1, Level 2, 2-day Group Theraplay, Sunshine Circles in both Dublin and Antrim.
Joanna delivers a range of talks to professionals, students/trainees, teachers, parents in a variety of settings ranging from Corporate to Educational/Training to Community Centres. Talks can be tailored to meet the needs of the group in question but typically cover anything from Anxiety and Teens; Developmental Play; Managing challenging behaviour; Parenting through Play; Parenting in a Digital Age; Parent-Child communication; Creative approaches to Discipline and more.
